In honor of the holiday season, we invite you to join us in gathering at Mytoi on Chappaquiddick. On this self-guided walk, explore the luminary-lit garden and reflect on your year since the last solstice. Share a wish or hope for the coming year, and tie your message to the winding bridge to share with others. Hot cocoa will be served throughout the event. Member and non-member pricing available. Get your Silly Santa Fun Run on this Thursday with the Amity Island Running Club. Meet at Bad Martha’s at 5:30 PM …. Prize for most festive outfit! The Amity Island Running Club is a running group on Martha's Vineyard - Everyone welcome!

Over the dunes and through the cedars to the lighthouse you will go! Celebrate the season with a festive refuge ride in an ever-changing winter landscape, keep and eye out for curious seals, otters, migratory birds and more. This over-sand, open-air experience is recommended for all ages! Layer up, bring a mask, and sit back as you explore our dyamic shores and climb the spiral staircase of the storied Cape Poge Light.

Tours start from Mytoi Garden parking lot (approximately 2.8 miles drive/walk/bike from Chappy Point). Parking and bike racks are free at Mytoi Garden. We are not offering pick ups from the Chappy Ferry. Be prepared to leave yourself enough time to drive over on the Chappy Ferry. A Chappy Ferry cam is available on their website. Tours run 12:00-1:30 PM, 2:00-3:30 PM

The Teddy Bear Trot is back, live and in person!  The Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club, in conjunction with Amity Island Running Club and Point B Realty, are happy to be sponsoring the 7th Annual Teddy Bear Trot 5K and Virtual Fun Run, part of the 11th Annual Martha's Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite as well as the Christmas in Edgartown festivities. All ages and levels are encouraged to run or walk this 5K course through Edgartown, which will be decorated for the holidays, and to show some spirit by wearing their own festive holiday attire! Dogs and strollers are welcomed!! Please take photos and submit them with your race results!

All proceeds go to the Club’s Happy Healthy Kids program, an after-school program that provides free food to hundreds of Island children each week, which is the focus of the Martha's Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite fundraiser. Day of registration is $35.00 for the 5K and $15.00 for the Fun Run, and will be available from 7:30-8:30 am on December 12 at the Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club.
